I've been lurking for a bit, but I had to comment.
Its been so long since I've played Descent 2, so I downloaded Rebirth and started up D2 again. And man, I haven't had this much fun in months. I keep dying on the second level...on Rookie...but hey, I'm still enjoying myself.
As for Rebirth itself:
Great app so far, runs great on my 5 year old mac at full settings. I did have a few problems getting the mouse to work but after fiddling with the .ini file (and scouring the Readme) I got things working how I wanted (no joystick here
). The only problem I've had with either D1X or D2X is getting mp3 files to play. In D2X, they run fine in the Jukebox but when I try to rename them (according to what the music readme says) to get them to run in the Music folder, nothing works (even after I uncomment the music filetype option in the .ini). I think I'm just fuxxing something up.
So, for now, iTunes it is. :p
Anyway, keep up the good work.
